I'm back!

Long time no see read! I'm sorry for my lack of posts but after exams summer rolled around and I just felt the need to take a break from blogging and enjoy the sun here in Munich which lemme tell yah has never left for the whole of the season.
During these two months of absence I did a bit of travelling and other stuff so why not restart with a post telling you all about what you've been missing out on this bog?

This Week's Most Loved | IV

While outside it's currently 34 degrees I am sitting at my desk with my ice cold drink trying to think of the products I've loved the most this week.

The Fitness Report: Playlists, Workouts and Cycling

Ahhhh summer seems to have creeped upon us and I'm yet to properly start working outside in the fresh air. A few things changed since my last fitness report when I was just getting started with my new lifestyle.

My Ipod | II

It seems like I started this series and never gotten around posting more of these. I listen to music on a daily basis when I'm on the train and when I recently started this new thing called working out. For my fitness routine I created a new playlist: the fitness playlist.

Empties | III

Third empties post and I can say that I honestly am proud of all the products I've finished. Being a hoarder and someone who likes to use products for a while and then move onto the next one, I am happy to have reached the bottoms of another 7 products.

Vichy Soothing Toner
Nothing much to say on this toner, nice, gentle, did counteract the redness on my face but apart from that it didn't do anything else.

N7 Protect & Perfect Serum
Serums have just recently been introduced into my skincare routine. This one felt nice on the skin and it had that silicone feel to it which I personally love. Because Serums are relatively new to me I want to try a few more and see what works best for me before I stick to only this one.

Beyu Light Reflecting Concealer
My first ever purchased concealer, it was nice to use to brighten up the undereye area but I'm looking for something with a bit more coverage for when I wake up with panda-eyes extreme dark circles.

Schwarzkopf Gliss Kur Marrakesh & Coconut Oil Hair Mask
Bought it. Kept it. Loved it. It gave a nice softness to my hair and hydrated the ends. At the moment, in stead of a hairmask I am using The Body Shop Grapeseed Serum and it has been working just fine, but I might repurchase this when I finish The Body Shop one.

Bioderma Sébium H2O
Simple fuss-free micellar water which everyone seems to be loving. A bit expensive but a bottle lasts a good six months. I am currently using the Garnier Micellar Water, it is very similar to this one but I still think that I prefer the Bioderma one because it doesn't strip my skin so much after cleansing, but they are both really good at removing eye makeup.

Lutsine Bactopur Purifying Cleansing Gel
I only noticed how much I loved this product after I finished it. They have new packaging but I will definitely get another bottle of this when I go to Italy. This cleanser does some serious deep-cleaning and gets rid of all the bacteria that make these horrible blemishes to painful.

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara
It's my all time favourite mascara and suprisingly has plastic bristles. It gives my eyelashes quite a natural look (I'm all about that), no clumps, no eyelashes sticking together, lenghtens, what would you want more?

I'd love to know if you've tried any of there products and your thoughts on them!

Tips on Organising your Blogging

Now I'll be the first one to raise my hand and admit that lately I haven't really been very good at the whole blogging thing. I'm trying to get back into the routine after a short break and to organise myself better on the blogging front. After reading other blogs and advice on the Internet, I gathered 5 tips to help you and me on organising our blogs better.

Lush Haul

Exams are just around the corner and I thought to treat myself to a few things from the Lush shop to help me get through was predicts to be quite the stressful month.

After the many positive reviews I read about the Big Shampoo I decided it was time for me to try something which promises to give volume and squeaky clean hair thanks to the exfoliating sea salt and the nourishing coconut oil. It's exaclty what my hair needs right now so I have high hopes for this one.
I was actually looking for a Bubble Bar to take a dip in a bubbly bath and light a few candles to take a nice evening off with a good film to watch. After smelling all the products on the shelves I decided to go for the Mango Bath Melt. The helpful guy working there told me that this bar is loaded with natural butters and essential oils that melt in your water giving you super soft skin.
When paying I added the Honey I Washed The Kids Soap to my basket as I've heard it's the bestselling soap and wanted to try it. The soap itself makes me want to take a bite and the fragrance is even better: honey and caramel.
This wasn't my first purchase at Lush but I must say that every time I go in there they have something new and more exciting than the previous visit. I only have good things to say about Lush,; I love walking in the shop for it's smell & colours and the staff is always very kind and helpful.

Have a lovely weekend xx

The Sunday Post: Greek Yogurt Popsticle

This week has all been about getting back into the routine after a long weekend and keeping the healthy eating going. With the warmer months coming up, I found a quick and healthy snack that is still enjoyable to eat, greek yogurt popsticle.

From the neverending list of ingredients you definitely notice how easy it actually is to make!
You start by swirling the raspberries and then by adding the the greek yogurt. Add the mix in a container and leave in the freezer overninght to then enjoy for the next sunny day. Obviously you can add any kind of ingredient and if greek yogurt is not your fave then any other kind of yogurt works aswell!

April Monthly Favourites

It's again that time of the month where I gather my favourite and most used products of the past four weeks and talk about them. April has gone by so fast, too fast for my likings, exams are just around the corner and I think I'll be spending most of May hidden in a library behind piles of books, fun.

The Fitness Report: My First Months

Here I am introducing a new series to my blog, the fitness report. Who knew that I would be writing about my fitness routine here on my corner of the internet after a six month break from any kind of workout. At the beginning of march I started practicing sport again and signed myself up to go to the gym. I don't do it to lose weight but to tone up, sport used to be part of my lifestyle and I've really missed it for these past months.

The Munich Guide: Where To Eat

Munich is a big city, there is much more than just the Oktoberfest and people often forget that. After having lived here for over 6 years, I think I know how to get around the city quite well and as a local, I could give you a few tips on things to do here, most importantly where to eat!

The Review | My Nikeys

Since I was very young my family always pushed me and my siblings to practice sports. I switched many sports, from competitive skiing to ballet but I've always done something to keep myself fit. Athletics was the last sport I practiced, which I've just recently given up due to school, it was simply taking too much of my time and I couldn't keep up with both at the same time.

5 Destination's I'd Like to Travel to in Asia

I believe travelling is one of the best opportunities people get, visiting new places and seeing the world opens your mind, teaches you about new cultures and gives you the chance to meet knew people. This year, one of my resolutions was to travel more; so I did a bit of research and wrote down 5 countries or cities I'd love to visit in each continent.

Spring Minimal Makeup Look

Ahhhh I can't believe that spring is finally here! Waking up with a clear sky and the sun shining puts me on a really good mood. I wanted to welcome the new season with a minimal 'no makeup' kinda look because I just know it's going to be all I'm going to wear on my face until July.

Spring is all about bringing that dewy-ness back and the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream does just that. It is a tad too dark for my and I am really surprised, because I didn't think I was able to get any palear than when I bought it, but apparently it's possible!
The NARS Creamy Concealer is my new obsession, I apply it on every scar, spot, under eye area and sometimes I just think there's no need to. But seriosuly guys, it's the best concealer I've tried so far, it's creamy, easy to blend and doesn't fade during the day.
To give a bit more colour to my zombie face in the morning, the Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush is working just fine: the finish is quite natural and it gives a healthy colour to my face.
And lastly, to make my eyes more awake, the Maybelline The Falsies Mascara is great, I seriously think that you do not need to splash on an expensive highend mascara, the ones on the highstreet do just as good of a job.

I've just realised that there's a lot of Maybelline products going on here, but it is my favourite drugstore brand and as a student I don't have an infinite amount of money.

What's your favourite makeup brand from the drugstore?

What Beauty Blogging Has Taught Me

I've been in the blogging for a bit over a year now and thanks to all the comments, posts and chats I've learned some great beauty tips and discovered many brands I wouldn't have otherwise.

What I've Been Wearing on My Eyes Lately

For this spring season I am going to keep the makeup minimal to let the skin breath and to save me some time in the morning (the real reason here).

Transitional Camel Jumper

& OTHER STORIES FEDORA HAT  €35 . ZARA CAMEL JUMPER €30 .  TOPSHOP JAMIE JEANS €52 . .TOPSHOP SLIP ON SHOES €85 .

My favourite season is finally here and I couldn't be happier. More sunlight (vitamin D y'know?), more colours and no more cold afternoons spent barricaded in a café sipping on hot drinks. I love everything about this season, even that awkward phase that everybody hates where it's too warm for ugg boots and scarves but it's too cold to wear tshirts.

An Ode to Jamie Topshop Jeans

The limit simply doesn't exist to the amount of jeans you can own, especially if you are a tshirt and jeans kind of gal. I like to pair jeans with anything, whether it's in the winter with a big jumper or in the summer with a cropped top.

The Sunday Post: Tv Shows & Films to Watch

It's the same story every weekend, I start by having a very productive morning and then tv series and films happen. Fast forward to three hours later and I'm still streaming watching Reign when I was going to take a short 45 minutes break. There are a few films and series I would recommend watching if you need a reason to procrastinate.

A Little Update on Life | III

From gigs to exhibitions, food and to travels. These past 30 days were all about enjoying life and making the most out of the opportunities I've been getting.

The SOS Skincare

You know when you're having a bad skin day and then it turns into weeks and nothing just seems to make it better? I get that a lot, especially around that time of the month when the hormones are just going all crazy, and I don't mean that it only showes through my skin, but I also cry a lot, for no reason.

In-Flight Travel Essentials

A second travelling themed post in a row? Throughout this year I will be travelling more than usual and most of these journies will made by plane. I am a big flight-traveller, during my holidays most of the time you'll find me sitting at an airport's gate.
To make myself comfortable during flights there are always a few things I like to always have with me in my backpack.

5 Destinations I'd like to travel to in Europe

Travelling has always been something I loved doing. As a child I never knew what I wanted to become but I was always aware of my desire to visit new places and see the world. I feel like travelling to new destinations opens my mind, I learn about new cultures and meet knew people. This year, one of my aim is to travel more, last year I didn't really have the opportunity to do it; since day one of 2015 I've been organising holidays away from Germany with my family and friends.

This Week's Most Loved | III

It's another week of makeup lovin' over here as I have found myself a true skincare routine for the moment so there's not much new there (though I have been eyeing the new skincare launches lately)...

Winter Outfit: All Black & Comfy

Because I'm still a student I like my outfits to be most of the time comfortable and casual. For this autumn/winter season it has all been about the turtlenecks so I teamed up a few of my favourite items I feel nice and comfortable into and created a casual outfit for school.

Healthy Breakfast Idea

My holidays have officially begun, to celebrate that I had a pj and breakfast in bed kind of day to catch up on all the episodes of Grey's Anatomy I missed and scroll through my Tumblr,
I'm not a big breakfast kind of gal, but on free days I try and always eat something to start the day. I've recently been obsessed with making this 15 minute breakfast meal.

-------------------------------------------------
The ingredients...

250ml milk
80gr pudding rice
blueberries
cinnamon
granola

--------------------------------------------------

1. Pour the milk and the rice in a pan, turn on the stove and let it cook for 8 minutes while stirring.
2. Cover the pan with a lid and leave to rest for another 5 minutes. In the end you should be left with soft rice and a thick cream.
3. Serve warm with granola, blueberries and cinnamon sprinkled on top.

It's a very easy to make and tasty recipe, if I have time I always prepare it so that I can be sure that two hours later my tummy won't start making funny noises but I can pull it through until lunchtime!

Eyebrows 101

Every blogger, grandma and cat has been talking about the importance of brows. Yes, because believe or not that patch of hair above your eyes is all what it takes to frame your face. Lately everybody's been raving about the Cara Delevigne's eyebrow look: dark and bushy; I think it looks great on her but not many others are able to pull the look off. So I'll talk your through the routine I do, my eyebrow favourites and a few little beauty tricks which might just save you some money!

Sunday Post: Beauty Spending Ban

After exams, it seems like I've been going wild with the beauty purchases and as much as I love a new lipstick or skincare product, I need to stop buying stuff I don't need and focus on spending my money well. I decided to put myself on a beauty spending ban for two months while I try to use as many products as I can. Hopefully you'll see an empties post coming your way! After the two months I'm also going to give myself a few rules to maintain the condensed stash.

What I've Been Wearing On my Lips Lately

I spent most of my January month wearing nothing on my lips because of the terrible state they were in. Now I can finally say that thanks to the solutions I've found (read here), I started applying lip products -keeping it on the moisturizing side- again.

DIY & Fighting dry Lips

Something I very much dislike about the cold months? chapped lips. Seriously. I can bare the cold and dark days wrapped up in my scarp sipping coffee from my christmas mug. But chapped lips. Really? I have three products which I would categorize all as holy grails; without them I would still be fighting the dry desert on my lips I have to deal with during the winter.

The Review | Jo Malone Candle

I was lucky enough to receive this luxurious Jo Malone candle as a Christmas present from my amazing friends. It was something I had been lusting for long and I did let an excited scream (just a little) out, hopefully not terryfing my friend Megan.

My Manicure in 7 Steps

Going to a nail salon to get my manicure done is something I have never enjoyed. I've always preferred doing my nails myself and keeping the budget friendly. Recently I stepped up my game by adding the Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover to my routine. I do my manicure in seven steps, preferably on sundays, where I give myself 2 hours for some me-time to get myself ready for the start of the new week.

Sunday Post: Brookies Recipe

After recovering from all the Christmas family meals, I decided to jump straight on Lily Pebbles'  dairy-free brookie recipe which sounded delicious! I served them when they were still warm and I must say that all my family (grandma included) enjoyed them and all the 40 freshly baked cookies were gone by the end of this evening. Slightly hard on the outside but spongie and gooey on the inside like a brownie.

-------------------------------------------------------------
The Ingredients...
45g cocoa powder
200g caster sugar
2 eggs
120g  flour
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
65ml vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
30g icing sugar

LET'S GET CRACKING!
-------------------------------------------------------------

  1. In a bowl, mix together the cocoacaster sugar and vegetable oil. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flourbaking powder and salt; stir into the cocoa mixture. Cover dough, and chill for at least 4 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 180 c/ gas mark 4. Line baking trays with baking paper. Pour icing sugar onto a plate and using a metal tablespoon, spoon and roll mixture into 2.5cm balls coating each one with the icing sugar before placing onto prepared trays.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Let them stand on the baking tray for a minute before transferring to wire racks to cool.

For a winter evening they are perfect to have with tea wrapped up in a blanket (this is optional, but trust me)
