The Review | Schultz Camomile Brightening Lotion

Having dark blonde hair, I always wanted to dye it a lighter colour but it scared me the fact that my hair could be damaged. I tried a few sprays to gradually go lighter but none of them seemed to work for me. On a vim to my local drugstore I spotted the Schultz Camomile Brightening Lotion that I had heard great things about, and went and purchased it to give it a try.

Together with the spray I got the brightening shampoo and conditioner. After the second wash the difference was noticeable, but not too much to think that I dyed my hair. To not damage my hair too much, since it does contain hydrogen peroxide, I sprayed this on my hair every three or four washes. On the bottle it says to soak the liquid in a cotton pad and then massage it, but of course if doing this a lot of product is wasted and it is not applyed evenly; so I used an empty spray bottle to spray it onto my hair, I then massage it into wet hair and then brush through it. I thought that this product would be a better replacement for the hair dye, but after all it isn't that different. For my haircare I don't use anything except shampoo, conditioner and once in a while a hairmask,  this brand does dry my hair, so every wash I switch between this brand and the L'Oreal EverRich (reviewed here) to give moisture the hair needs and avoid the split ends.

Have you ever dyed your hair and how was the whole experience?

Spring/Summer Nailpolishes

Were're already headed toward the end Spring and Summer is not too far away. This year pastels and reds are the colours for our Spring nailpolish collection and for the Summer I went for the shades that would look good with a tan that I'll be hopefully having by the end of August. These are the five nailpolishes that I'll be wearing this Spring and Summer..

A must have in my collection for this Spring is the baby pink blue, with me I have the Kiko... , this nailpolish could be a perfect dupe to the Essie bikini so teeny. I love this colour, for me it's something different and more colourful rather than my blacks and nudes, when I wear it I get a lot of compliments for it. The second nailpolish is a sweet pink and quite sheer one, it's the Essie sugar daddy. A nailpolish that could be perfect for both seasons is the Essie.. , this white sheer nailpolish goes perfect with a tan aswell as with a classic manicure during the Spring.
Summer is the season for the bright colours, the ones that are stashed behind your nailpolish collection for 3/4 of the year until you get that sun-kissed skin. For this year I chose the Isadora ... and the coral-ly shade from Isadora .. .

What's your favourite nailpolish for the Spring and Summer?

Where do I put my rings?

In this post I decided to talk about a more practical thing rather than makeup. After one of my many visits to Muji, I bought drawers for the makeup stash, lots of containers and this hand for rings and bracelets. I used to just have a container for all the rings, and that got too messy so when I saw this hand in the shop I just had to get it. You can either buy it in white or in black. It makes everything look more tidy and it could be a piece of furniture in your room.

Drugstore Haul

School has been really stressful lately so the time to go out with friends has been impossible to find until last week. Me and my friend decided to take some time off from the revising and to go in town to treat ourselves by going shopping.

There is something I love about makeup shopping, especially if it's for something I actually need, just like the Lush bubble gum lip scrub, because of the weather changing my chapped lips were screaming for a nice exfoliation and moisture. This scrub really takes the dead cells away and leaves your lips moisturized thanks to the jojoba oil contained in the product. It tastes really good as well! If you've already read my skincare post you would already know that I have an oily complexion. Spring and Summer are seasons where I get even more oily; and the only drugstore powder to keep my T-zone matte for at least 5 hours is the Rimmel stay matte powder which unfortunately comes without a makeup sponge puff so I had to buy an extra one. Since I've been letting my nails grow longer after my bad habit to bite them I had to take care of them with the Sally Hansen hard as nails nails strengthener and the Sally Hansen vitamin E nail & cuticle oil. Now that my need to get out of this house has been fulfilled I can go back to revising!

Have you already tryed any of these products?
